  • Yes, you need to be able to swim 50m

 

• Do I need to have my own craft?

  • Many of our activities include the craft – please ask

 

• Do I need my own safety kit?

  • We will provide this, but by all means bring your own if you prefer

 

• Do I need to be insured?

  • No, you will be covered by our insurance

 

• Do I need a harbour permit?

• Can I bring a pet?

  • No, our activities are not suitable for this

 

• Do I need to have paddled before?

  • No, we have activities for first timers

 

• Do you have changing facilities?

  • There are a number of cafes close by, but no changing rooms, so bring a changing robe/towel

 

• Is there parking?

  • Depending on where we launch, there is both paid and free parking

 

• Are there campsites near by?

  • Yes, a number exist, and we recommend Sweethill Farm on Portland. If camping is not your thing there are numerous hotels and Air BnBs in the area

 

• Do I need to be a member of Paddle UK?

  • For some qualifications you do, but for Lessons, Trips and Awards, its unnecessary

 

• Do I need to bring anything?

  • Bring a towel/Change robe, snacks, water and any water wear you already have

• Yes, to the highest Paddle UK standards, and are also lifeguards
