About Breakwater Coaching
​Progressive paddle-sport education and experiences, focusing on bringing paddling to all padlers, at all levels, so they can thrive and progress. Setting paddlers on their own bespoke journey that will be edifying, safe and above all, joyful. We put the paddler at the heart of the process.

We started small in 2019 with a background in competitive paddlesport racing, education and paddle club involvement. So we are well placed to educate and lead paddlers on the ocean and waterways of the South coast in different craft. Primarily operating out of Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay, we deploy throughout all the Dorset waterways, as well as into Devon and Somerset.​

All of our coaches are Paddle UK qualified, lifeguards, and hold a number of other related qualifications. We are a Paddle UK Delivery Partner and RNLI ambassadors.

Run small groups sizes usually from one paddler to four. Not only does this mean we can keep our prices to you low, but we can run tailored journeys where each paddler gets the maximum support and attention.

Small groups means there is less chance of a group having vastly different abilities, avoiding the necessity to balance challenge levels.

With no single location, we can be flexible as to where customers wish to paddle from, e.g. from the north of the harbour, to the west, or south of it.

Our sea kayak journeys are paddled in cockpit sea kayaks, for a truly authentic kayak experience, and not sit-on-tops such as some providers do.

Our instructors are hugely experienced, having been involved in paddle sports for many years.
